  This project will conduct a needs survey regarding “individualized math learning” in schools where whole-class instruction is the main form of teaching, and “learning opportunities using educational tools” in a variety of settings, including homes and local community facilities. It will also examine whether such approaches can help improve academic skills (mainly calculation ability) as well as non-cognitive abilities such as motivation, self-control for learning and self-esteem.
